Teenagers In Media In today's media, teenagers are portrayed in numerous aspects from society. In this specific photo (right) the article speaks about the dangers of drug use in teenage students, with this image negatively representing a student. The student is shown to buying illegal substances which readers will immediately negatively react to, as the main target audience for this article from the Mail Online is largely made up of an adult audience, predominantly female. This is clear by the language choices made throughout  the article. Words and phrases such as 'illegal drugs' and 'punishable with jail time' have cynical connotations which conform into the stereotype of teenagers being dangerous and non-law abiding. I believe this attitude is unfair, as it groups teenagers as a whole, whereas only a specific number of students take part in illegal activities. This makes society negatively stereotype teenage students as a whole. In this article, a teena
